Uppu Seedai Recipe | Seedai Recipe | Diwali Snacks



Uppu Seedai is a Traditional Indian snack we used to  during festival time. It is a crispy ball like snack. Kids will like this snack  very much for its taste and also for its shape.

I haven't tried this snack for long time..until one of my friend Anu asked me for the recipe. As her doubt was... how  can we do without busting ? This make me to do trial on Seedai recipe.

 I have noted all the tips for making Seedai without bursting. I followed all the tips and made the seedai without bursting for first time :) yes really...it comes out good without fail...

Samai Pongal | Little Millet Pongal | Easy Millet Recipes




Samai is called as Little millet in english, Kutki in Hindi, Sama in Telugu, Chama in Malayalam. Samai is a high fibrous millet that has lot of nutrition values than ordinary rice. As compared to rice 38 times of  fiber and 13 times of tron. It contains 8.1 times of fiber as compared to wheat.

It contains lesser amount of carbohydrates as compared to wheat. Thiamine(vitamin B1) is present in little millet which is not present in wheat or rice. So daily consumption of little millet keep you stay fit and healthy.

I have tried some recipes using millet. Samai pongal is the easiest recipe that I want to share with you today. This recipe is more helpful for those who want to reduce their body weight and to get rid of diabetics.

Paruppu Urundai Kulambu is a exotic south Indian side dish served along with rice. We can literally say as lentil balls(kofta) in a tamarind based kulambu(gravy). It is spicy, tangy and yummy kulambu.

When we are bored in making sambar or vegetable based gravy we can go for Paruppu urundai Kulambu.

Whenever my mom do I will share this urundai kulambu with my friends. My friends will love this kulambu and ask for it every time. My mom is expert in it.

Red Chutney | Spicy Chutney | Kara Chutney


Red Chutney is spicy chutney made with combination of Kashmiri chilli, small onion and tomato.The colour, smell and taste of kashmiri chilli will make this chutney tongue ticking.  It will tempt us to eat again and again.

Thanks to my friend Jaya, I got this recipe from her. When I went her home for a dinner she prepared this chutney. We enjoyed this spicy, tongue tickling chutney there. And I asked the recipe from her and tired it two, three times then only it came out well.

It is the best one when we get bored in doing chutneys. Just add spice to your food sometimes. It will make us interest in eating. Try this recipe for those spicy loves in your family..

Kurma Kulambu | Potato Masala Gravy | Arachivitta Masala Kulambu



Kurma Kulambu is a masala based gravy served along with rice. It can be done with potato blend with grounded coconut masala. It a South Indian gravy/kurma served with rice, roti and parathas. 


Its also a best side dish  and well goes with South Indian parotta. My mother used to this recipe for lunch often at home. I will fell for it and I loved to eat as side dish for dosa at night. Till the last drop we ate this kurma.

Motichoor Ladoo is a famous sweet(ladoo) made in North part of India. Motichoor ladoo and south Indian ladoo are almost similar in preparation with little variation. I have tried south Indian ladoos.


One time my sister asking for ladoo, we gave South Indian Ladoo. But she asked for this Motichoor ladoo particularly. On that time I think that both ladoo are same, the colour is difference. After that  I found its really tastes different. It is soft, crunchy and little moistures ladoo.
