Jil Jil Jigarthanda | Almond Gum Drink | Badam Pisin Summer Drink | Madurai Special Jigarthanda Recipe

Jil Jil Jigarthanda is a refreshing summer time recipe made with Almond gum/badam pisin and milk. Jigarthanda is so popular drink in Tamilnadu especially in Madurai. 

Before I don't know about his recipe, it can be made from the badam pisin. Just I remembered in my school days, my mom used to give Almond gum/badam pisin along with 2 tbsp of milk in empty stomach every morning. In order to make the body cool and gain some weight. 

Last year during my vacation, my mother-in-law make this refreshing jigarthanda recipe using Almond gum. Wow! wonderful drink It is! I learned this recipe from her. And she gave the Almond gum/badam pisin to me. It's available in all Indian super markets.

Badam pisin is used to eat regularly for those to gain weight. And for also to reduce the body heat for those who do more work outs sports man or body builders. Check out this nice refreshing drink for this summer!

How to Make Jil Jil Jigarthanda

Ingredients Required

No of Servings : 2
Time of Preparation : 15 to 20 mins (excluding soaking time and refrigerating time)

Method of Preparation

1. Soak badam pisin in 1 cup of water over night you will get a coarse jelly(you can do and refrigerate while use). Boil the milk and reduce it to 3/4 th thick milk.

2. When it reduces let them to cool. Add the Rose syrup and sugar and mix well. Rose milk is ready.

3. Refrigerate until you use or chill. At the time of serving, take a cup, add 2 tbsp of badam pisin jelly then add the rose milk.

4. After adding the milk, add 2 to 3 tbsp of Vanilla ice cream at the top and garnish with tutti frutti. 

Serve Immediately!
