Methi Pulao | Vendaya Keerai Satham , How to make Methi pulao , Easy rice Recipes

Methi \ Fenugreek leaves strongly aromatic and have little bitter taste. It's rich in iron, Folic acid, thiamine, Vitamin A, B6 and C and many more. It have lot of medicinal benefits such as it increases blood level, increases breast milk supply who nursing, reduce cholesterol, prevents diabetics and also protects from cancer. Methi  pulao is very delicious and easy to make. Hope you like this and enjoy this healthy pulao  with your family...

Time Of Preparation : 30 mins


1. Clean and Chop Methi leaves, Pudina/mint leaves and coriander leaves. Then chop the onion and tomato into small pieces. Wash and soak the rice in water.

2.  Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds when it sputters, add onion and saute well until little mushy. Then add ginger garlic paste into it and saute until raw smell goes. Add the chopped tomatoes and saute well until mushy.

3. When it become mushy add all the chopped leaves(Methi, pudina/mint and coriander leaves) and saute for 2 minutes.

4. Add all the spice powders (Sambar powder, Garam masala and Turmeric powder)  and salt and mix well. Saute this mixture for 2 minutes.

5.  Add 2 cups of water to it and mix well. Then drain the soaked rice and add the soaked rice inthe presure cooker.

6. Mix well thoroughly and close the pressure cooker lit and put the whistle. Cook it in medium flame for 2 whistles 

Serve Hot with Raita, Papads or even with Potato Poriyal..
