Lemon Aval Upma | Lemon Poha

Lemon Poha is the fastest breakfast recipe where we do in 10 mins. I always use brown aval for making upmas its  more healthier than using white aval. I just made with white  aval here for displaying purpose.


1. Wash the Aval/rice flakes in water and soak it in water(just a level it should me immersed don't add more) for 10 minutes.keep it aside. Extract juice from lemon.
2. Heat oil in a pan temper the items Mustard, Urad dal, Channa dal,Peanuts(optional) one by one when sputters add Asafotida.
3.Add green chili, ginger and curry leaves in to it and toss for a minute.
4. Add turmeric powder and switch off the flame.
5. Add lemon juice and salt to it and mix it well.
6. At last add Aval/rice flakes to it and mix thoroughly.
7. Garnish it with coriander leaves.

Note: When you add lemon juice at last after switched off  the flame is to avoid the bitter taste and lemon juice never loss the vitamins.
